Dreaming of Spring
Dress - ModCloth // Shoes - Payless // Belt - Thrifted
It's supposed to be almost 60 tomorrow! This mild winter has been great and I just can't wait for spring. These pictures are actually from Mother's Day last year. It's always been a tradition to go up to the lake, get hot dogs, and play mini golf.

Orlando Adventures
So for most of last summer I had no computer. It was not fun. Although, secretly, it was nice to have the excuse of no internet access at times. Plus, I started reading a lot more. Once I got a new laptop it was time for the semester to start. Folks, senior year has been busy. And now it's been almost a year since my last post. I should be working on stuff now, but........I don't want to..... Plus, I have all these great pictures to post!

Shirt - Thrifted // Necklace - Zulily // Skirt - Francesca's // Shoes - Payless
This Christmas, I had the opportunity to go to Florida with my family and spend the Holidays with them at my Papaw's house. For one of the days we went to Downtown Disney (or whatever they changed the name to... hey, it'll always be Downtown Disney to me) and then to the Medieval Times show! It was really fun! I love both Disney and Medieval history. Even though Medieval Times is hardly historically accurate it's still entertaining. And there's a museum on the grounds which is quite fascinating (there's a whole building full of Medieval torture devices). Anyways, it was a fun trip. Hopefully I'll have time to post every now and again during the crazy of this last semester!

Comfy
I rarely wear the same outfit twice, because I like to remix, but I have worn this multiple times. This is the best travel outfit ever--I would know,'cause I wore it on several 20 hour car rides last year!

A Most Crazy Day
Dress and Shirt - JCPenney // Tights - George // Shoes -Payless
Well, hey there! I haven't posted since last year, mostly because of travelling and my computer was broken. And, well, still is kind of broken. Anywho, I just got done with the most ridiculous day and I'm getting ready for first day of classes tomorrow! I'll make this short, but I can't remember a more ridiculous day. The (newly fixed?) muffler fell off my car (thankfully after I got off the freeway), my furnace broke, the pipes in my house froze, the power went out in Walmart when I went to get stuff to unfreeze the pipes... daaaang, I am ready for this day to be over! But, it's all good mostly because I have the best dad ever and he drove all the way out to my house to fix everything! Thanks, dad!!

I Just Love Editing Photos
Dress - Modcloth // Shoes - Payless // Jacket - Thrifted // Necklace - Forever21
Guess what I did all day. . . Well, not all day today. All day the past three days. (Yes, I'm very serious.) I've been editing photos. You see, since I got my DSLR I've sort of become the unofficial photographer of the family. And until last week, my mom didn't have a computer to put these photos on so they've sat on my computer, untouched, for months on end. Now a smarter person would have probably just edited these photos as they were taken so they didn't pile up like this. I am apparently not that smart. I was also a bit intimidated by the continuously growing amount of photos to go through. No more, though. I am completely done going through all these stinkin' pictures.
You may remember a few posts ago when I complained about how unphotogenic my family is. Three days of editing photos has only further confirmed this. I mean wow, it takes a lot of work to get my family looking halfway decent! It can't just be me 'cause I edit photos of other people and it never takes as long! Of course I could just be more picky about how my family looks in photos. Or maybe we really do look that good in photos. (Sarcasm)
Now you'd think the last thing I'd want to do right now is edit photos. During this endeavor I couldn't wait to be done. But as soon as I'd finished the last photos I felt like I had no purpose in life and I needed to edit more photos! That's why I decided to do a blog post--more pictures!
Here's how I know I spent too much time editing photos: I went outside with sunglasses on and when I momentarily removed them I thought the white balance of my eyeballs was off. And I desperately wanted to fix it. (And now that I'm looking at them, the white balance of these photos is off too... but yeah, I'm done for now)

Anchors and Arrows
Shirt - JCPenney // Skirt - Maurices // Shoes - Payless // Socks - Target // Necklace - Forever21
Another quick post just 'cause I'm still super busy. I actually just (finally) bought a good tripod so I'm trying to get all these old pictures up as soon as possible so I can post better ones! I really haven't been motivated to take pictures mostly because of the effort it takes to get someone else to do it for me :p But. Having a tripod will make this a lot easier!

The 50s
Dress - London Times // Belt - American Living // Shoes - Payless // Gloves - Thrifted // Necklace - Walmart // Glasses - Forever21
I really wanted the show to be as historically accurate as possible. So most of the outfits were vintage, reproduction, or modern with a vintage look. I had a small budget, but I worked with what I had and I think everything turned out nicely! (although I'm a bit frustrated that one of my pin curls didn't really turn out right...so sad) For my outfit I even did a half moon manicure and tried to match the polish as best I could to my lipstick. The half moon manicure's not something I want to do all the time, but now I do pay attention to how my nails are shaped!

Don't Ever Lose a Spider
Dress - Freeway (Modcloth) // Cardigan - Old Navy (Thrifted) // Tights - Walmart // Shoes - Payless
I can think of some weird places I've seen spiders in my house, but I'll never understand the ones that decide to make homes in my shower! The other day I looked up and there happened to be one curled right up in the corner near the ceiling. Now for some reason my bathroom ceiling is really high and this part is over the shower . . . so there's basically no way to reach this part of the ceiling to rid my house of of this spider. Obviously this really bothered me. And now, after visiting my parents' house for a few days, I don't have any idea where this spider went. So . . . I lost the spider.
Still on showers and spiders . . . you know how you come up with the most random/weird thoughts in the shower? Well, as this spider was ruining my shower, my cat was trying to claw her way into the bathroom (Why do cats do that?). And then I thought Hey, what's the difference between cats and spiders. (I believe I already prefaced this with "Shower Thoughts" that should explain things). Anyway, first off, both cats and spiders remove unwanted pests from your home. Second, they both like to find one comfy spot with a good view of the entire area. Third, they sometimes like to stare at you and make you feel very uncomfortable. Fourth, they're both fuzzy. And lastly, they're both clearly evil. And yet, at least in my house, cats are very welcome, while spiders are definitely not. Maybe it's the extra legs. I seriously have the heebie-jeebies just from writing this and I keep feeling phantom spiders crawling on me. Well, here's hoping I don't run into any more spiders today!

The Week Before . . .
Skirt - Charlotte Russe // Shirt - J. Crew (Thrifted) // Cardigan - H & M // Socks - Target // Shoes - Payless
I tell you what. Finals week ain't got nothing on the week before finals. It's so much crazier and there's just so much more to do. But I did it! Finished my last class for the semester! I still have to go in for two finals next week and turn some stuff in, but other than that . . . I am very much done. You know what my favorite part of being done is? Not setting my alarm for tomorrow. NOT SETTING AN ALARM. People, I do not have to get up tomorrow. And most likely won't be.
Welp, in celebration of the end of the semester I am going to Netflix binge for a bit. Oh! And I'll probably waste a bit of time on Pinterest. I . . I can't believe I've avoided Pinterest for so many years. It's awesome! The amount of homework I was avoiding may have contributed to an increased interest in Pinterest. But still, I think it's pretty cool!
Anyways, if any of you have finals soon, I hope they go well! Have a great weekend!

Easter Sunday
Dress - Fleet Collection (Also available at Modcloth) // Cardigan - J. Crew (Thrifted) // Belt - Wet Seal // Shoes - Payless
So it's a few days after Easter now--I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! This was probably the funnest holiday I've enjoyed in awhile! There was a great service in the morning. And the ham for dinner was fantastic . . . aaand, that's basically all I remember. The ham. It was good. Anyways, I did have to do a bit of homework, but the rest of the day I spent playing dutch blitz with my mom and my aunt. If you haven't played before, it's pretty fun (you can check out the website here). I think it's funny though 'cause every time I play I completely forget the rules and the game has to be completely re-explained to me. I usually catch on pretty quickly though (I would hope so since I've played before!). So yeah, fun game.
How was your holiday weekend? Tell me about it!
