The Vampires of Venice Outfit 2: Shirt - Mossimo // Belt - Nine & Co. // Skirt - Gander Mountain // Tights - Mossimo // Boots - Hotcakes // Jacket - Delia's // Scarf - Walmart
The Rebel Flesh Outfit 3: Shirt - a.n.a // Jeans - Old Navy // Boots - l.e.i. // Jacket - Forever21

The girl who waited...an entire week to post. Well, I guess not an entire week, but it's been awhile. After I posted Paul's Halloween costume on my blog I was really looking forward to posting mine! Now, technically I only wore the first outfit this year, but I wanted pictures of the other two that I wore last year...and now I have all of my Amy Pond outfits together! I only went to one Halloween party this year :( because I was so sick the weekend before Halloween. Oh, and this is what I wore to school on Halloween, and I have one more picture to post of my other costume.

So, I don't know about you, but I just love Doctor Who! And Amy's outfit's are so fun! Seriously, she's why I own a bomber jacket. Yeah, Amy is probably my favorite companion. I could go on for awhile about how much I love Doctor Who...but I just realized I have one more assignment to do before tomorrow morning! Oops!

The Great Indoors

Shirt - Thrifted // Cardigan - Liz Clairborne (Thrifted) // Skirt - Jones New York (Thrifted) // Shoes - St. John's Bay // Tights - JCPenney

These pictures are a bit old, but as you can see I tried taking some pictures outside. To be honest with you, I still prefer the inside pictures at my house. My yard leaves (um...pun not intended) much to be desired. And now, with my oak tree dropping a few thousand leaves a day, it's just crazy. I trees. And I especially like oak trees, but seriously there are days (well, maybe every day) when I just want to take a chainsaw to that darn thing! I can spend hours raking and by the next morning I can't even see my yard! omg! stupid tree! Ok, tree rant over. The original point I was trying to make was that my yard is kind of gross looking right now and it's just easier (and less populated) taking pictures inside :pq

On an unrelated note...the sad thing is that I would have posted this yesterday, but I didn't want to get up to check the brands of my skirt and shirt :p Granted I've been pretty sick the past few days. But still...just a bit lazy.

Bringing Creative Back!

Skirt - GAP (Thrifted) // Shirt - a.n.a. // Socks - Marc's // Cardigan - Mossimo // Shoes - St. John's Bay

Yeah, so I didn't actually go to the Brown's game, but I was right across from the stadium and just had to take some pictures of all the people. It was ridiculous how many people there were! We couldn't even park in the Science Center's parking lot 'cause it was a Brown's game day. And there were so many people that they started walking in the street--in front of cars--and wouldn't even stop walking to let us into the place where we could actually park. Seriously, people really were walking in the middle of the street like "the Brown's game is more important than my life."

Anyways, the real reason we went to Cleveland was to go to the Titanic exhibit at the Science Center. Wow, it was amazing! So well done and well designed too! I never get tired of studying the Titanic. There was no photography allowed in the exhibit...so I have no pictures for you. Probably the coolest part was one part of the exhibit that showed which passengers were headed for the Northeast Ohio area.

On another note...if you've visited my blog before, you'll notice it looks completely different! I've been planning a new site design for awhile and well, this isn't it. I'm still planning the other one. But, I was bored and I just decided to do this! Also, I'm finally feeling creative again! Anyways, I'm kinda like this design...so at least I'm happy with it until my other new design is done :p

Finding...

Dress - INC International Concepts (Thrifted)  // Cardigan - Mossimo (Thrifted) // Socks - Marc's // Shoes - St. John's Bay

...Inspiration. I really need some. There are times when I'm super creative and other times when I'm just...really not. I love art school, but I hate when I have an absolutely brilliant idea...after the assignment's due! Lately I've been trying to make myself be creative even when I don't feel like it. That's one reason I'm blogging now. I've had a long day and I'm just tired and done being creative. It's practice.

I think that's one reason my posts have been so (not) awesome lately. By the time I'm done with school and homework I'm just fresh out of creative. I've always loved being artistic and designing things, but I don't want it to become a chore. I want design to be something I love! So yeah, that's what I'm focusing on this semester--being creative when I have to and not just when I want to.

Science!

Skirt - H&M (Thrifted) // Shirt - St. John's Bay (Thrifted) // Vest-  Thrifted // Shoes - Restricted Betsy

Since it was both my dad's birthday and Father's Day, we went to the Great Lakes Science Center. Sadly we didn't get to see the Titanic exhibit because all the tickets were sold out! AHH!!!! Oh well, I guess we'll go back at some point this summer :/ The best part though was going to see the steamship, William G. Mather. I don't really have anything more to say today, so I'll just leave you with some pictures of the steamship and a few others. (PS....WOO!! Good pictures are back! Sorry about my camera troubles the past few days. I really need to stop posting if the quality's not my best :/ )

Yes. This happened. Catherine and I got super bored 'cause...well it's not that big of a museum and we'd been in there like 3-4 hours already. One of my other sisters kind of photobombed the picture too--you can see her head right underneath the lollipop!

To The Best Dad Ever

Dress - Thrifted // Shirt - St. John's Bay // Scarf - Thrifted // Shoes - Faded Glory (Which I apparently took off for pictures...just imagine this outfit with red canvas shoes)

Obviously I'm an awesome daughter 'cause I had another post written that said nothing about my dad. Thankfully I did remember at the last minute that even though as I'm writing this it's not Father's Day...when it's posted it will be. My other post will have to wait for another day. But...that's good 'cause then I get a break from writing for a day.

Like I said before, my dad's the best. He's one of the strongest and smartest people I know. And I never would have passed any highschool math, chemistry, or physics without his help. He is so hardworking and loves difficult projects. In '96 we moved out to Northeast Ohio to a completely wooded lot of around 26 acres. My dad designed and built our house (well...is still building? Don't get me wrong, it looks amazing. But there's always some new project going on and one room that's still unfinished.) I should have taken pictures of the house...and my dad. But I guess I'll have to do that another day.

Although he has 8 kids, he always takes time for all of us and takes a genuine interest in stuff we like. Even if it's stuff he obviously doesn't like. I mean really! He went out of his way just to get Princess Protection Program for one of the kids out from another library, actually sat through the movie with her, and then claimed to like the movie. Actually any parent gets an award for sitting through that movie, but dads especially. He tries to make every game, special event, or even practice that he can and always puts us first.

He's been a great example to me because he's so patient and very compassionate. He's been married to my mom for over 20 years (I'm an awesome daughter again 'cause it was their anniversary a couple weeks ago...and I have no idea how long they've been married. I just know it's more that 20 years.) and still says she's the most beautiful woman he's ever seen. I have so many memories of walking down the stairs in the morning (actually mornings in general are just a memory now that it's summer, haha) and seeing him lift weights while he read the bible. Teaching his children to have a love for God, a good understanding of scripture, and good theology has been a priority for him as well.

I know not everyone has had a wonderful father and writing this has made me realize how much I take my dad for granted sometimes. I really do love him though! Regardless of your situation, I hope that you all have a wonderful Father's Day!

I leave you with a slightly blurry picture of me and my dad at Winchester House.

Plaid Goes With Everything

Dress - Converse One Star (Target) // Shirt - St. John's Bay // Shoes - Restricted // Socks - Marc's // Green Ring - Giftshop // Claddagh Ring - Gift // Necklace - Giftshop // Nail Polish - Revlon Blue Slate // Balm Stain - Revlon Charm
Photos by R. Parker

I have an obsession with plaid at the moment! And as I'm still cleaning my closet, I'm so excited to see how much plaid I have already! I got this dress years ago when I had no fashion sense whatsoever, but I am so glad I kept it. I can think of so many ways to style this dress--I can't wait to wear it again!

It's hard to believe that school is almost over. One of my classes ended already and it seems like it was January just yesterday. Oh wait, it was January cold just a few days ago....maybe that's why... Anyways, it seems like the cold spell is finally gone for good! I just checked the weather and it's in the high 70s all week long!!!! I'm so excited for warm weather! I'm still taking a cardigan with me, but I haven't had to use it. I probably should use it during my Production 1 class, but I'm stubborn and refuse to wear it because it's almost May even though I'm freezing. It seems that my classroom are all different temperatures too. Any classes in the Honors building are basically the same temperature as outside and the art building is all different. Drawing Techniques classroom is comfortable, Production 1 classroom is freezing, and the Life Drawing classroom is really hot because of all the bright lights in the room.

Well, now that it is warm enough to take pictures outside I'm actually going to miss campus. Seriously though, that's the only thing about the campus that I'll miss. I do think these pictures turned out very nice though :) Well, I exercised and read the bible today. I've been doing really well lately! This blog has really helped me to keep track of my Bible reading and exercise and helped  me stay motivated! Anyways, I hope y'all have a wonderful day--thanks for reading!
