Shirt - Thrifted // Skirt - Charlotte Russe // Necklace - Modcloth // Tights - Walmart // Shoes - Rocket Dog // Jacket - Thrifted

I think these are the last photos from the trip to Virginia. The lighting was nice when we went to Monticello so I took some senior pictures of Laura too!

We did a few tours, which were great, and the house was absolutely beautiful! There were a lot of books as well. I even bought a mug with the Thomas Jefferson quote "I cannot live without books," combining my love of mugs and books.

Pictures from Virginia

Well, it's the middle of finals week! I'm basically done with my projects--I really just have to turn things in. Anyways, here are a few random pictures from the trip to Virginia!

Dress - Hem and Thread // Belt - Body Central // Tights - Walmart // Shoes - Thrifted

On Thursday we went horseback riding.

This was the view right outside the window!

And this is my family's vehicle. Nothing says "homeschool family" quite like a big white van.

Skirt - Modcloth // Shirt - Merona // Cardigan - JCPenney // Shoes - Rocket Dog // Tights - Walmart // Necklace - Modcloth

What's sleep? It's finals week and sleep is something I'm looking forward to when this is all over.

Anyways, here are a few more pictures from the trip I took to Virginia. This is from the day we went to DC. We started out by going to the National Archives (which is the reason we decided to watch National Treasure when we got home that evening). After that we split up and three of my siblings (Laura, C, and M) went with me. We ended up going through several museums. Then we got a snack and sat on a bench in the mall to people watch. I found out later that in the same amount of time, the rest of my family only went to one museum--and that's why I'm so glad we divided into groups.

I'll leave you guys with these last two pictures from the Natural History Museum's gift shop. C's expression is just amazing and I think I look like I have a brain slug (Futurama) on my head.

Where Have I Been?

Hey! I know I've been gone for awhile, but the last few weeks have been ridiculously busy. I guess I'll just post a few pictures from Easter, which I spent in Virginia.

Dress - Nick & Mo // Cardigan - Thrifted // Shoes - Qupid // Tights - Walmart

I was sad to not go to the church I normally attend, TCBC, on Easter, but it was nice to be out of town! And it was nice to spend some time with my family. I don't remember what church we ended up going to, but it was pretty amazing. The pastor wore an entirely white suit--it was fantastic. And not one person could in the entire church could sing--bless their hearts. Still, they were praising God... as off-key as it was.

We took a few family photos too. This one's definitely my favorite

Lastly, as a bonus, here's what I wore Good Friday.

Dress - Yellow Star // Belt and Cardigan - Thrifted // Shoes - Qupid

35 Days 'til School's Out!

Dress - Under Skies (Ruche) // Belt - Body Central // Tights - Walmart // Shoes - Refresh

I just counted 35 days 'til school's out. Which is both a good and a bad thing.  Also, these are probably the most comfortable shoes ever.

Too Much Fabric

Dress - Mystic // Tights - Walmart // Shoes - Dooballo // Scarf - Zulily // Jacket - Thrifted

I don't wear scarves that often because I feel like I'm being strangled if the scarf is too big. And this scarf definitely has way too much fabric. I really like the pattern though. Maybe I'll cut it in half to make it more comfortable?

Spring Break!

Skirt - (Ezra) Modcloth // Shirt - Thrifted // Cardigan - Thrifted (Express) // Jacket - Target (Thrifted) // Tights - Walmart // Shoes - Dooballo // Necklace - Modcloth

Looks like I ended up taking a break from blogging during spring break. Oh well, it was nice! I guess the only fun thing I did during break was going to the Natural History Museum and then to see Cinderella (which was a lot better than it looked in trailers!).

The Interview

Skirt - Thrifted // Shirt - Kohl's // Tights - Walmart // Shoes - Dooballo

I wore this to a campus job interview a few weeks ago. Turns out I got the job so I'm really happy about that!

Blue and Yellow

Dress - Doe and Rae // Shoes - Restricted // Cardigan - Thrifted // Belt - Nine & Co. // Tights - JCPenney // Necklace & Socks - Modcloth

For some reason I felt like turning on the hall light in these pictures just to see what would happen. Guess what... the natural light from the window made the foreground and lower part of the photo really blue and the hallway light made the top of the picture really yellow. Hence, the photos were really difficult to edit/color-correct. As in, they were actually even worse than they are now. I definitely won't be doing that again!

Up All Night

Dress - Walmart // Shoes - Dooballo // Belt - Old Navy // Cardigan - Mossimo (Thrifted) // Necklace - Modcloth

I have so much to do and I'm procrastinating. Yay.

Crazy Hands

Skirt - Lovely Day // Tights - Amazon // Shoes - Dooballo // Sweater - JCPenney // Scarf - Cato's

My friend, Dominic, took these pictures of me in the photo studio as we were cleaning up (I took the hand photo). They're a little grainy 'cause we had weird lights set up today that weren't really for portraits. Although you might have guessed that from the crazy hand picture. It's not the kind of thing I normally photograph, but it was still fun to do something out of the ordinary! All the photos ended up looking a bit creepy, haha.
