Adventures in Old Town

Dress - JCPenney // Necklace - Modcloth // Shoes - Walmart

Can you believe these shoes are from Walmart? I love them! That aside, when I thought about it, I spend a lot of time in Florida. Almost an entire month out of the year. Sadly, when I graduate, I'll probably not be able to go down there as much.

Anyways, on a quest to find a mug (I'm not joking about that...but more on that later....), we ended up in Old Town in Orlando. Such a cute place! Yeah, it rained a little, but it was warm, so it was alright. The shops there were fantastic! There was a shop just filled with anime paraphernalia--I know my sister would be jealous. And  really cool haunted house (but it wasn't open until dark). There were also amusement park rides, but we didn't really care about going on them. Oh, and a magic shop! There was a show every few hours and the one we went to was great! The magician was very charismatic and entertaining.

So yeah, one reason we went was to find a mug with my family's crest on it. My dad has one and I wanted to add one to my ever growing collection of mugs (I think that I have maybe....100 mugs?). Turns out, the mug store moved somewhere else...inside a theme park, so we couldn't get in. Oh well, At least the magic show ended up being fun!

Orlando Adventures

So for most of last summer I had no computer. It was not fun. Although, secretly, it was nice to have the excuse of no internet access at times. Plus, I started reading a lot more. Once I got a new laptop it was time for the semester to start. Folks, senior year has been busy. And now it's been almost a year since my last post. I should be working on stuff now, but........I don't want to..... Plus, I have all these great pictures to post!

This Christmas, I had the opportunity to go to Florida with my family and spend the Holidays with them at my Papaw's house. For one of the days we went to Downtown Disney (or whatever they changed the name to... hey, it'll always be Downtown Disney to me) and then to the Medieval Times show! It was really fun! I love both Disney and Medieval history. Even though Medieval Times is hardly historically accurate it's still entertaining. And there's a museum on the grounds which is quite fascinating (there's a whole building full of Medieval torture devices). Anyways, it was a fun trip. Hopefully I'll have time to post every now and again during the crazy of this last semester!

2 Years of Blogging + A Very Disney Adventure

Well, hey there! Guess what this week marks? Two entire years of blogging! So, to celebrate, instead of doing a recap post, I'm gonna post something I've been waiting to post since January! While we were in Florida for Christmas, my family went and spent 3 days at Disney!

Day 1: Downtown Disney

It's so fun to walk around Downtown Disney and it's great to get any shopping you want to do done so you can just enjoy the parks when you're there! Not surprisingly I bought a few more mugs. I may have a problem. We had dinner at the Rainforest Cafe--that place is awesome! My dad got an amazingly good deal to stay at a hotel that was really close to Disney, so we went back there and spent some time swimming before going to sleep.

Don't you love the alligator about to bite my brother's head?

Remember when my hair was this long?

Day 2: Magic Kingdom

There's nothing like a day at Magic Kingdom. I LOVE it there. There were even a few new rides this time! I was so disappointed when they got rid of the 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea ride (years ago, obviously) and replaced it with Ariel's Grotto. Which is basically nothing. At least this time around Ariel finally got a cool ride! Unfortunately, the Snow White ride was gone. I mean, I think a lot of kids were scared of it (even more so than the Haunted Mansion) but hey, your childhood memories are lacking if they're void of the terror that was the Snow White ride! Oh, there was also a new circus area which was really cool. But I think I spent most of my time on the Haunted Mansion and Pirates of the Caribbean rides.

Laura DisneyBounding as Peter Pan.

Terrible lighting from the flash. I should have taken a picture before the sun went down. But yeah, I'm DisneyBounding as Merida. A few people actually thought I worked there :p This is actually why I waited to cut my hair. I wanted crazy Merida hair for Disney!

Day 3: Hollywood Studios

I think most of my family hadn't been to Hollywood Studios, but since I'd gone over the summer and loved it, I really wanted them to go! You guys, the Star Wars ride. It's amazing! And magical. It's the best! I can't even count how many times I went on that ride!

Outfit 1: Dress - Modcloth // Shoes - Hotcakes

Outfit 2: Dress - Modcloth // Shoes - Rocket Dog // Belt - Nine and Co. // Shirt - Kohl's // Arrow Necklace - Forever21

Outfit 3: Skirt and Necklace - Modcloth // Shirt - Kohl's

Well, that's that. Have you been to Disney? What have you thought of my past few years of blogging? I love to hear from you all!
