So yes, I went thrift shopping!! And I actually did only spend $20! I was looking forward to today all weekend!!! It was a great start to my spring break week! So, I went to the mall with my sister Laura of
Princess in Mudboots in the morning. But, I didn't buy anything because I knew I'd be going thrift shopping in the evening with some of my friends from Navs (the on-campus Bible study I'm involved in).
We all met at the Goodwill in Akron around 4PM. Here's some of the awesome stuff we found:
Here's my friend Rachel (you know her better as my photographer R. Parker) modeling some awesome shoes. She didn't buy them because they were a little squishy in the toes. I didn't buy them 'cause I already have a pair very similar.
We all loved the pattern on this jacket, but it was just too big and didn't look good as an oversized piece.
This shirt looked so cool, but was too small for anyone. Seriously, I never would have tried this on, but Rachel finds the coolest stuff in thrift stores! Oh wait...then I found this...
I seriously just wanted this dress to have as a costume! It's sooo cool!!! And it made me feel like a princess lol
I'm at my parent's house now and I don't have all the stuff that I thrifted with me, but I'll get pictures of that stuff up after Easter. Anyways, after we spent hours in Goodwill, Amanda (another friend from Navs) suggested that we go to the Village Discount Outlet right down the road. We didn't spend as long there, but I did find this amazing hat. And it reminded me of
this.
I didn't end up buying the hat, but I've always wanted a big hat like that and I always wondered what it would look like an me. So, it was good that I got to try it on. I'm thinking I'll eventually buy one now that I know I like it.
After thrifting we ate at Arby's then went to Amanda's house to watch Mrs. Doubtfire. Awesome night :) Anyways, here's some pictures of the outfit I wore.
Sweater - Thrifted // Jeans - Old Navy // Flats - Target // Earrings - Purchased at a market in China (it sounds so much better than "Made in China" 'cause I was actually there and I bought those earrings...) // Bracelet - A craft store // Rings - Thrifted

Well, that was a long post! Anyways, I will get pictures of my thrifted stuff up as soon as I go back to my house after spring break. I know school's schedules are all different, but how was your spring break? And do you think I can pull off a hat that huge?
