I have an obsession with plaid at the moment! And as I'm still cleaning my closet, I'm so excited to see how much plaid I have already! I got this dress years ago when I had no fashion sense whatsoever, but I am so glad I kept it. I can think of so many ways to style this dress--I can't wait to wear it again!

It's hard to believe that school is almost over. One of my classes ended already and it seems like it was January just yesterday. Oh wait, it was January cold just a few days ago....maybe that's why... Anyways, it seems like the cold spell is finally gone for good! I just checked the weather and it's in the high 70s all week long!!!! I'm so excited for warm weather! I'm still taking a cardigan with me, but I haven't had to use it. I probably should use it during my Production 1 class, but I'm stubborn and refuse to wear it because it's almost May even though I'm freezing. It seems that my classroom are all different temperatures too. Any classes in the Honors building are basically the same temperature as outside and the art building is all different. Drawing Techniques classroom is comfortable, Production 1 classroom is freezing, and the Life Drawing classroom is really hot because of all the bright lights in the room.

Well, now that it is warm enough to take pictures outside I'm actually going to miss campus. Seriously though, that's the only thing about the campus that I'll miss. I do think these pictures turned out very nice though :) Well, I exercised and read the bible today. I've been doing really well lately! This blog has really helped me to keep track of my Bible reading and exercise and helped  me stay motivated! Anyways, I hope y'all have a wonderful day--thanks for reading!

I love plaid anyway, but aren't the elbow patches on this adorable? This outfit is more wintery than I would like, but since it was hailing yesterday I was in the mood for comfy winter clothes. Well, really I just wanted to be warm. It was alright yesterday, but near the end of the day it really cooled off. Actually, it just got really cold. And then started hailing. And then got even colder. Basically winter weather. NOOO IT'S ALMOST MAY!!! DANG IT, NO MORE COLD! Phew, I just checked the weather and it looks like it's going to be warmer next week.

So, my entire wardrobe is on the floor of my room right now. It's been driving me crazy, 'cause I really want to get it all re-organized (it was organized before, but I had stuff that I needed to get rid of). But, now that I'm going through my stuff I suddenly want to keep it all and I'm finding ways to wear everything I want to get rid of. And sometimes I like stuff but I'm not sure I'll wear it... Anyways, I need y'all here to help me go through my closet!!

Oh, and if you just started reading my blog. I've recently been using it to help keep me accountable for reading the Bible and exercising. So today I did read the Bible, but I forgot about exercising :( Oops. At least I've been good every other day with exercising so far.

Well hope y'all have a great day! Thanks for reading :)

Hail, Spontaneous!

We left for Massanutten Resort today! It was a long, but strangely peaceful drive. I say strangely peaceful because there are a lot of people in my family--10 to be exact--and car rides tend to be loud and squished... We actually can't fit everyone in one car because we still haven't purchased a big homeschool van. You know what I mean...a big white van that can fit the population of a small city inside :p Anyways, everyone got along very well which was fantastic!

So I was a little nervous about having to help drive today because I have no sense of direction and I've never driven out of state before. Also...I fall asleep really easily in cars (not when I'm driving of course! But if I'm the passenger I fall right asleep!) So, even though it was around 10 in the morning, as soon as I got in the car I fell right asleep! Thankfully, by the time mom needed a break and had me drive I was well rested and fully awake!

I got a couple of pictures of the scenery out the window and one of the tunnels we drove through. I don't know about you, but when I was a little kid I LOVED going through the tunnels! I still think they're really amazing though!

Umm...why is there snow? I'm on vacation! In April! Thankfully this is up in the mountains and there's no snow at the resort! I guess the resort is in the mountains too...but there's no snow here.

This picture is so cool with the reflection in the mirror :)

We took my car and my mom's van. The pictures are all taken from my car 'cause that's where I was when my dad drove my car. Then when I took a turn driving my car mom rode with me. I had a great time chatting with my parents! I really don't get a chance that often to talk with them like that because all the other kids usually need their attention.

Oh...I know you can't really read this sign...but it says Winchester. As a huge Supernatural fan I kind of had to have a picture of this sign! I would have had my mom take the picture...but she was having issues with my phone camera.

I suppose you might be wondering why this post was titled "Hail, Spontaneous!" Or you might not be... Anyways, I don't remember exactly what my mom and I were talking about but for some reason I was trying to say the word spontaneous. And....well it didn't come out right. It sounded more like this SPON-te-NAY-ous. Oh yeah...I'm a total doof. After laughing for a long time we agreed that it sounded like a Roman name. So...Hail, Spontaneous!

Anyways, here's the outfit I wore today! I knew I was going to be in the car a long time so I wanted something comfortable. It was nice wearing the two shirts because the temperature kept changing due to driving in and out of the mountains. And, these are my most comfortable jeans and softest shoes! All in all I'd say it was a great travel outfit! Sorry about the less than stellar quality of the photos. We left the good camera at home (hey at least we remembered all of the kids! we may have left a suitcase behind too...but more on that later). So these are just taken with my cell phone camera. It takes ok photos during the day, but at night the quality really sucks and the sun was setting already when these were taken. And...we were all kind of tired and didn't want to take pictures :p but here they are anyway

So we've only been at the resort a few hours at this point and there's already some crazy things going down here. That's just my family for you :) The best thing was that my 4 year old brother apparently hid his suitcase  (why? yeah, I'd like to know that too...) instead of putting it by the door this morning. So yup...he has no clothes with him. There is a Walmart close by and a couple thrift store so...we're going shopping tomorrow :p We've had kids forget shoes before...but forgetting an entire suitcase on vacation is a winner!

PS - So the story of how I got this shirt is pretty cool. If you’ve read past posts, you’ve already seen that I kind of have an obsession with stars. I love that this shirt says “Under the Starry Skies.” So I saw this shirt at Old Navy, and it was probably like $20 or something and I didn’t want to pay that much. But, I was still just so in love with this shirt!! A couple of months later, I happened to be thrifting with my mom when…I saw this shirt! For like $2! Anyways…I just think that was cool :)

Phew, that was a long post--but I guess I had stuff to write about! I hope your day is fantastic! Don't forget to follow, and like Finding Inspiration on Facebook!

Spontaneous out. And I'm gonna get back to watching Kung Fu Panda with my sibs :)
