Good News, Everyone

Dress - Monteau // Tights - George // Boots - Yoki // Cardigan - JCPenney // Cami - Walmart

Just imagine the title in Professor Farnsworth's voice.

The good news is...I'm finally feeling a bit more creative again. Which may mean more blog posts. Not sure if that's a good or a bad thing! I've spent so much time on homework the past week that I'm starting to look at life like I'm still on the computer. Like I want to hit control-z if I want to undo something...in real life. And a couple of days ago I saw a crack on this one lampshade in my living room...no joke, I actually thought to myself... yeah, so I'll just use the lasso tool and select that undamaged part of the lampshade. then I'll just paste it on top of the damage and problem solved....oh wait, this isn't photoshop. Maybe I just need sleep. And a new lamp shade.

On another note, I'm so sad 'cause I just finished season 9 of Futurama. There is a 10th season, but it's not on Netflix yet! Darn! Does anyone else want All My Circuits to be a real show?

Be Prepared

Dress - Monteau // Shoes - l.e.i. // Cardigan - New York & Company

Anytime someone says that I have an urge to sing the song from Lion King. Seriously, does anyone else do that? Or it is just me...

So I like to think of myself as a fairly organized person. But seriously, when it comes to weather--rain specifically--I am seriously never dressed right. I actually bothered to check the weather this time to see whether (haha...weather...whether... anyone read The Phantom Tollbooth?) where was I? Oh yes, um I checked the weather to see whether I should wear layers or not and too see how hot it was supposed to be. But for some reason I failed to see that it was going to rain. Now, apparently I left my rainboots at my parents house. But I still have plenty of other boots to wear. Since I didn't see this massive storm or even bother to listen to all the rain right outside the many windows in my house I wore flats. Not just any flats either. These particular flats apparently have a bit of a hole in the sole of the right shoe...I know this 'cause my right shoe was full of water by the time I'd made my way to the art building. And my left shoe was relatively dry...ish. Thankfully I had time to run home and switch shoes before my next class. And by that time it had stopped raining.

The awful thing is this is not the first time this has happened. And yet, I continue to make the same stupid mistake over and over again! Rainboots on...no rain. Rainboots off...torrential downpour. People, I have actually worn rainboots on days with no rain. In my defense I actually checked the weather and there was supposed to be rain! I guess I'm just a dork :p

Boating!

Dress (worn as a skirt) - Monteau // Shirt - KDS Spring (Thrifted) // Belt - Vintage // Shoes - Hot Cakes

So last Friday we wanted to do something just for fun. We started out with a bunch of random ideas and ended up driving to Pymatuning Lake to feed the fish and then rent a pontoon boat. Honestly, I thought feeding the fish was going to be boring, but it actually was very entertaining. The fish are so gross looking 'cause they're so big and there are just so many of them! When you throw a piece of bread in the water the fish would all swim for it at the same time and there would just be this huge mass of fish! The birds could even walk on the fishes' backs!

After that we drove a little further into PA and rented a pontoon boat. So fun! I thought it was fun just riding in it, but then I asked for a turn driving. I've only been in a boat a few times ...and obviously I've never driven one before. It was easier than I expected and I really enjoyed it! So I ended up driving most of the time we were out on the lake. If you're looking for something fun and relatively inexpensive, renting a pontoon boat is a great way to spend the afternoon!

Hello Kitty

Dress - Monteau // Shirt - Thrifted // Shoes - Steve Madden (Thrifted)

Yay! Back to outfit posts! After I took that weekend break I almost didn't start blogging 'cause I had so many unread posts on my bloglovin' and I was just too tired to write a post. But as soon as I got back into it I was excited to do my next outfit post! Anyways, I had a wonderful time at my friend's wedding last weekend and I'll eventually get some pictures up from that.

So...guess what? Another birthday today! I know, right? It's like everyone in my family has a birthday in June. Well, yeah, that's pretty much true. Today my sister adopted from Ukraine, E, turned 15 and we're having a Hello Kitty theme for her. My outfit was inspired a little by a picture of Hello Kitty that I used to make my sister's birthday banner. So yeah, this dress again. It's definitely one of my favorites! And there are so many ways to wear it! But, you'll notice though that I'm not wearing my canvas shoes for once. Thankfully I didn't do too much walking--or I really would have missed my canvas shoes.

Well, even though I enjoyed my weekend break (I actually went the entire weekend with no internet at all!) I'm glad to be blogging again! Thanks so much for reading and I hope y'all have a great day!

Back to Normal?

Shirt - American Eagle (Thrifted) // Dress - Monteau // Shoes - Faded Glory

So we're back to regular outfit posts finally!  I'm super tired of blogging after last week. I think I told y'all that my first California trip is why I stopped posting on that first blog. If I didn't really enjoy outfit posts I might have to take a long break from posting. I'm so glad that that I'll be able to read about my trip later, but I definitely don't want to do long diary-like posts like that every day.

Also, I'm so happy to finally have the good camera back, but I'm not too happy with these pictures. I only had a few minutes to run outside between birthday activities....and then it started raining!

I hope you all had a great memorial day! Today was my sister C's birthday as well so we had a fun day. I'm going to make her fun birthday cake when she has her party, but today we had an amazing chocolate trifle! Well, thanks for reading!
